Paul, this is not a religious forum which I can use to explan Islam. It’s clear you have not read Quran properly. The out-of-context quotes are evidence of this. Just consider why so many people are embracing Islam after studying it. You can consider reading about some famous Christian evangelists who have embraced Islam, lyrics and quotes the reasons why they have done it.
With regards to the oil, it’s a fact that God has enriched Muslim lands with this black gold. They export oil and import goods paving the way for trade between civilizations, a good thing for world peace. If you consider the next energy frontier say for instance is solar energy, then Saudis and others have it in abundance. Moreover, when the last days of oil ( if they were to happen) you can imagine the price of oil which will make these countries so rich that they will be able to command any technology for harnessing other energy resources. It will be status quo once again!
