Idea of Motorcycle Better than Motorcycle
My son wants to get a motorcycle. Of course, I am dead set against it, but don’t want to appear like I am. If I don’t get all riled up and act like a concerned Mom, then maybe it won’t hold as much appeal. I think for many people, the idea of a motorcycle and being a rebel is better than the motorcycle itself. In fact, I even bought him some motorcycle goggles and gave them to him for his birthday for “when he gets his bike.” He was actually shocked that I wasn’t ranting and raving about the dangers of motorcycling. Mission accomplished.
