Most people that come to the Caribbean are people couples on vacation looking to have a good time. It is no wonder that things like a honeymoon in St Lucia or a Jamaica honeymoon have become very popular over the years. Aside from these two major destinations there are many other different Caribbean locations that are frequented by couples. It’s not long now until we head down to Ruapehu and hit the ski slopes, well that is if the weather plays its part and brings a good amount of snow in the next month which hopefully it will. Last year was an awesome season so if we have a repeat of that we will all be very happy. They have some very cool concerts planned near the mountain this year as well which will make it even more fun.

Sometimes I just like to let my imagination run away and I get lost in some exotic and beautiful part of the world far away from the boring reality of my own. I see myself wandering through outdoor markets in a far away land, sailing on an ocean cruise ship, or relaxing by a very private pool in one of the Bali private villas. I know that right now I can’t have any of those things other than in my dreams, but I do intend to experience so much more in my lifetime. No beautiful place, no wonderful opportunity is off limits for my imagination.

Let me tell you how I proposed to my fiancé on our anniversary celebration in New York. I was actually out of ideas for our anniversary (it was our fifth, so who can blame me?) and we were already thinking of tying the knot by that time too, so the pressure to come up with a very unique way to propose came on me as well. Then it hit me — I saw the café that my friends we’re telling me about, the one that served the best brunch in New York; so I thought, hey a proposal over brunch in one of the world’s most romantic cities, why not? This is what happened — on the day of our anniversary, I pretended that I didn’t have anything special planned at all. I asked my girl to hit the road with me and grab brunch in New York. When we got to the restaurant the surprise came to her as sweet as her favorite strawberry shake — yes, I asked the waiter to put the ring on the little umbrella of her drink! Now who would ever thought someone would propose like that? Cool, huh?

I am going to be going on a few different nz tours during my trip down there and I can hardly wait to get there and get on the first bus. The first one takes me around the top part of the north island and as far south as a place called Taupo. I will be spending a bit of time there as I have heard amazing things about the place and then I will be on another tour covering the rest of the island. Eventually I will make my way to the south island where I will embark on another two tours. All in all it should be one pretty amazing trip.

When I first met my husband he was a Cleveland Browns fan. As a life long Pittsburgh Steeler fan I should not have even talked to him let alone marry him. Since we really liked each other we decided to put our football differences aside and get married. It has worked for more than ten years. Then we decided to take one of those football tours. We could not decide which team we were going to go see. Then we realized we could book the game in Cleveland with a match-up between the Browns and the Steelers. We will even be getting to see the Football Hall of Fame.
