Farmville Game
Whose capacity for treachery was brought to the profession’s attention in a 1986 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association? The authors studied 123 consecutive patients with a history of ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation who had received anti-arrhythmic agents of Farmville Game. Of these patients, 95 had side effects, and 36 of this group had major reactions. In the group studied, 23 died and at least one of these deaths was directly attributed to the anti-arrhythmic drug. Forgive the militant title this chapter has, but there is no subject about which my clinical experience makes me more certain.
