A Healthy Colon Based on Good Foods

In our body, the small intestine to be exact, along with the rest of the digestive tract, can get a buildup of mucus plaque from eating the wrong foods over a prolonged period of time. Junk food can play a major role in this cycle and during digestion can interfere with the normal functions of the colon and leave residue and wastes behind which will not be expelled during a normal bowel movement. The more natural the foods the easier they are for the body to digest and the lower the amount of wastes left behind. The transition to more natural foods is not as hard as you may think. The occasional junk food or fast food is not going to ruin your new diet, but they need to be restricted. The best thing to do is eat fresh food such as fruits and vegetables and incorporate them into as many meals as you can. This will aid digestion and help to cut down buildup. A stronger digestive system means a stronger metabolism which leads to an overall healthier body, which leads to better waste removal and less buildup.
