Cosigning for a Car Loan
Before cosigning for any personal loans online, it is important to have a good understanding of your responsibilities as a cosigner. If the borrower does not pay, you will be responsible. With a car loan, the title will most likely be in the borrower’s name and not yours so this is something else to keep in mind. You won’t be able to just go and repossess the car if the borrower does not pay. In essence, you will end up paying for them to drive around their new car. So before cosigning, make sure you can really trust the borrower to either make the payments or turn over the vehicle if they cannot pay.
