Grave Markers as Time Goes By
For centuries, Grave Markers have been a traditional way to mark the resting place of loved ones. Although styles have changed over the years, often due to the use of different materials as well as different ways of making the markers, the basic premise of a place for a name and date still remains. Modern grave markers sometimes incorporate the loved one’s picture as well as a phrase telling something unique about the deceased. Flowerpots or vases may be located on the stone as well, so that even if cemetery regulations don’t allow flowers on the ground, they can still be used to decorate the grave.
