Credit card fraud may increase if we do not follow safe practices
These days, we have to beware the fraud that occurs with credit cards through identity theft. I always appreciate it when the cashier asks to see my picture ID when I use my credit card. I am not offended, but am glad that he or she wants to ensure that I am the person who is presenting the credit card. Really, that question protects me in case someone has stolen my identity and is using the credit card in my name. Or, if my purse is stolen and someone begins to use the card before I have a chance to report it stolen.
