Grandpa Steps Out On a Date
My Grandfather is a lonely widower. He hasn’t been the same since my grandmother passed away three years ago. During many conversations he told me he couldn’t imagine dating again; my grandparents were married for 46 years. I got the feeling that grandpa would benefit from female companionship. I knew he was going to need plenty of encouragement and support. I spoke with a friend who had a similar experience with an elderly parent. He shared some dating tips with me so that I could help my grandfather. I contacted the local Senior Center to get a list of events. I attended a family game night with my grandfather; during the evening we met Sally. My grandfather and Sally started attending events at the center on a regular basis.
