One of the biggest problems with desperately wanting your ex back is the fact that you are likely to put them on a pedestal and ignore all their shortcomings and past mistakes. In fact, you can build them up to the point where they can absolutely do no wrong. This is obviously a big mistake.
Even though you want to get your ex back more than anything in the world, it would behoove you to really take notice of how you are building them up in your own mind. What you might find is that, eventually, they will begin to take advantage of the situation whether they are aware of it or not.
