Why I Chose Cloth Diapers
I chose cloth diapers for my daughter for a number of reasons. The greatest motivation was economic; cloth diapers are a lot less expensive than disposable diapers. There is an initial start up cost but once I bought the supplies I didn’t need to worry about leaving diaper money in the budget. Along those same lines cloth diapers were even more of a good value because they can be used again for my second child. It’s a great feeling to know that I only have to buy diapering supplies one time even with multiple children. Other advantages of cloth diapers that affected my decision include the fact that they are better for the environment, less likely to cause diaper rash and more conducive to potty training. When a child can feel that they are wet they are more likely to start using the toilet.
