Raising and Training Puppies
As much as I love dogs (and I really love them), after years of raising and training puppies, I find myself exhausted – both mentally and physically as well as drained financially – and I’ve decided to retire from this lucrative field. While I have been practicing havanese dog training for almost twenty years and have had as many as 64 Havanese dogs and puppies at one time, I’ve reached a point in my life where’s it has just become too much and I have to say that enough is enough. Of course, I’m still an avid dog lover and always will be so I’m assuming “leaving” the industry will be difficult to achieve and I know I will always have some dogs running around – whether they are full blooded Havanese or something else I don’t yet know – however, it will be nice to experience dog ownership from the standpoint of a pet owner, as opposed to a breeder, and I’m hoping it will allow me to truly bond with whatever dog I end up with.
