Tippmann 98 Custom: Maintenance Woes
Though it’s impossible to accurately aim the Tippmann 98’s original barrel at 90-100 feet, you can customize them with a wicked sniper barrel like Tippmann Flatline. Truth be told, the Tippmann 98 custom is designed in such a way that it can be upgraded easily. Although it’s quite easy to clean up, it is not as easy as the Tippmann A5 as you have to remove all of the wrench screws. This will disassemble the complete unit. After the disassembling, you can now clean the marker. But, reassembling is not an easy job as it involves a lot of tricks (use the manual for reassembling instructions) and is rather complicated. You can, however, remove the barrel easily for cleaning purpose. The Tippmann 98 custom will perform at its best with proper maintenance.
