How I Proposed over Brunch in New York
Let me tell you how I proposed to my fiancé on our anniversary celebration in New York. I was actually out of ideas for our anniversary (it was our fifth, so who can blame me?) and we were already thinking of tying the knot by that time too, so the pressure to come up with a very unique way to propose came on me as well. Then it hit me — I saw the café that my friends we’re telling me about, the one that served the best brunch in New York; so I thought, hey a proposal over brunch in one of the world’s most romantic cities, why not? This is what happened — on the day of our anniversary, I pretended that I didn’t have anything special planned at all. I asked my girl to hit the road with me and grab brunch in New York. When we got to the restaurant the surprise came to her as sweet as her favorite strawberry shake — yes, I asked the waiter to put the ring on the little umbrella of her drink! Now who would ever thought someone would propose like that? Cool, huh?
